Starting from Long Lake Beach Kitchen Shelter Registration opens at 11:00am with ride commencing at 1:00pm Ride is approximately 40 kilometers with 3 stops along the way All ages welcome, riders and snowmobiles must be properly licensed and insured to operate in Yellowknife Chili, Hot Dogs, Coffee and Hot Chocolate available after the ride Silent Auction and Prizes on the ride!

      Tom Girrior of Yellowknife Search and Rescue (YKSAR) will be hosting an indoor rope/pulley session on Wednesday, January 30 at Arctic Response from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm. The information provided is typically of interest to anyone who paddles or uses an ATV, Argo or snowmobile. The following topics will be covered.. - Determining the mechanical advantage of a pulley system
      - Choosing the components for your system
      - Simple pulley systems up to 3:1 ratio
      - Compound pulley systems up to 9:1 ratio
      - Hands on practice
      YKSAR will be providing all of the equipment needed for the session but people are encouraged to bring along any rescue/recovery kit they have. Arctic Response
